Introduction

Motivated and well trained staff are the lynchpin of the hospitality industry, good staff will make or break a ski holiday experience for your guests and will eventually make the difference between a repeat booking or an empty chalet!

Having invested a significant amount of time, money and effort, carefully recruiting and training the best possible candidates for your company, it is very frustrating to discover upon arrival in resort that despite great enthusiasm and motivation, some staff members are simply unable to perform their duties to the level required. Most often gaps in team members skill sets only becomes apparent following the training period, during the peak weeks of the season, when the resorts are at their busiest, staff are stretched and having to use their own initiative dealing with often unfamiliar situations. At this point, time available to devote to 'in-house' one-on-one training of underachieving staff is non-existent. Out sourcing targeted training is a convenient way of addressing many of these problems with the minimum of disruption to the resort team and your clients.

What We Offer

Training provides people with the skills necessary to perform their roles effectively and efficiently. Self belief and confidence in their own abilities encourages people to become more self-sufficient, to think about their personal development within their role and to gain a sense of responsibility for the company they represent. Having assessed areas requiring attention (e.g. lack of skills, low motivation, self belief etc.) and the desired outcomes of training we would then produce a programme that targeted them precisely, allowing the most efficient use of time and resources. During the period following the training session(s) the trainee needs to be encouraged and supported to ensure the skills and techniques learned are retained and that they are utilised! This takes the form of follow up contact to check on how the trainee is progressing, or a follow up session if needed

Intensive Chef Training

We have found from experience that the most effective way to improve the standard of a chef quickly is training them one-on-one in their own kitchen. This method also allows the chalet to function uninterrupted. We work alongside your chef, assisting in the development of a daily routine and giving guidance with menus and budgeting. If necessary we will teach them from scratch the skills and techniques required to produce a tried and tested two week menu plan, adjusted to suit the individual company's requirements, budgets and suppliers. By the end of the training period the chef will have gained new skills, the confidence to put them into practice, the art of presentation and (hopefully!) a strong appreciation for good food, cooked well!
